The pheromones in Fly-Bye attract specifically the male fruit fly. The male flies are subsequently trapped and killed, before they can breed, and this stops the fly lifecycle. The female flies therefore need to leave the site in order to breed, before they can lay their eggs. This dramatically reduces crop damage in the treated area. Different control strategies may have varying efficacy between properties, although we consistently receive feedback that Fly-Bye had outperformed alternative control options. A local blueberry grower actually had increased fruit fly pressure when using a ‘paint on’ bait and he believed it brought flies in from the surrounding area that lay their eggs prior to actually dying from the toxicant in the bait. You may also be interested in the feedback from a Darwin chilli grower who compared Fly-Bye to a protein based bait (http://www.nutri-tech.com.au/products/bio-management/fly-bye%20-%20testimonial.html ).

Hi

I am a biochemistry student and I am very interested in this shuttle chelation product. It sounds like a product with massive potential. I have been researching thermal vibration and how that helps the uptake of plant nutrients but I have not been able to find any articles in accredited journals about it. Also I have not been able to find any articles on nanoclusters and plant nutrient uptake. I would appreciate it a lot if you could tell me where I could find such information or perhaps send me some journal articles.

Kind Regards
Paul Nieuwoudt

Hi Nicole,

Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the feedback. I have had a quick search to locate the reference you have requested in relation to humic acid releasing CO2 from micronised calcium carbonate. When foliar sprayed there is an associated photosynthetic boost. We have yet to formally test this concept but it came from European research cited in a brochure i downloaded from an American humate supplier.I have had a quick look but can't immediately lay my hands on either. I will get back to you when I have time to look more thoroughly. In the meantime you are welcome to quote me as the source in your proposed article.

Warm regards

Graeme

Hi Graeme,
you've done an awesome job putting all your information together, thank you.
Just wondering about you comment above "New research reveals that this natural acid can release the carbonate component as CO2, offering a substantial boost to photosynthesis." Are you able to point me to this reference so I can use it in an upcoming article please?
Thanks
Nicole :-)

Is there any products which can be used by the home garden to assist in plant growth that is natural...and doesn't compromise the integrity of the seed or the organic grown plants.
