The Rooterpot™ simplifies the old propagation process of air- layering, allowing you to create model trees and shrubs with minimal effort. With the traditional air layering system a black plastic bag is used to hold moss or peat around a wounded stem until new roots develop around the wound. The problems associated with this method are that: it is often awkward to install, the potting media is quick to dry out and there is little opportunity to add water or to inspect the progress of the new roots. This very simple to use “mini-greenhouse” virtually guarantees a successful propagation, producing specimens genetically identical to the “mother plant” with outstanding stem and root development…. with very little time or effort involved!
